TGIF Concerts in the Park
Every Friday night from 6 to 8 p.m. through August 29
Get your dancing shoes ready every Friday night in Carlsbad for 28th season of TGIF Concerts in the Park!
According to the City of Carlsbad website, “The music covers a wide range of jazz-oriented, danceable music from big band swing to rhythm & blues to Latin salsa, with Afro-pop, zydeco and soul in the mix as well.”

Friday Night Live
Every Friday night now until October 24
Jam to free live music at the corner of Grand Avenue and State Street in Carlsbad Village! Every Friday night from now through October 24 will feature artists performing their music on the street (no music on September 9th). Grab a bite to eat or a drink nearby, then stand under the Carlsbad Village stars to enjoy some tunes.

Float n’ Flick Movie Series
August 9 and 23, 7-10 p.m.
If you love movies and the pool, the Float n’ Flick Movie Series is the perfect summer event for you! Bring an inflatable air mattress (or whatever you want to float on) to Alga Norte Community Park, and watch a movie on the water and under the stars in the warm water instructional pool. The movies on all dates are from 7-10 p.m. and cost is $8 per person. All ages are welcome.

Art in the Village
August 10, 9–5 p.m.
Art in the Village brings together over 100 local and regional artists for this one-day event. Browse the diverse exhibits and listen to live music in the heart of Carlsbad Village.

Jazz at the Merc
Every Thursday night, Temecula residents and visitors have the opportunity to enjoy a night of unrestrained jazz music at the beautifully restored Mercantile building, lovingly known as “The Merc.” Get tickets for your next date night!

Summer Sunset Concert Series
Every Thursday in June 2014, 7-8:30 p.m., Temecula Amphitheater
Family and friends will all have fun at the Temecula Summer Concert Series. Gates open at 5 p.m., and guests are welcome to bring in food.

Moonlight Movies in the Park
August 2, 9, 16, and 23
Moonlight Movies in the Park are free Temecula events open to the whole family. The August movies are a part of a Saturday Night Movie Classics Series, featuring films such as Casablanca and Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
Activities for all Moonlight Movies in the Park start at 7 p.m. and films begin at dusk. Park locations vary with the date, so check out the schedules for each location.

U.S. Sand Sculpting Challenge and 3D Art Exposition
August 29–September 1, 9:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
Come to downtown San Diego for 4 days of the most incredible sand art you’ve ever seen! Artists come from all over the world to create these sculptures. Buy tickets and learn more here.
The Del Mar Races
Season runs until September 3
In addition to the horse races, the track will also host a 10 performance summer concert series. See the full schedule here.
25th Annual Taste of MainStreet in Encinitas
August 9, 5:30–8:30 p.m.
Sample food from over 30 restaurants and wine and beer from 17 Sip Stops in downtown Encinitas. Live music will also play at several venues. You can buy tickets for $35 here or get day-of tickets for $45. Learn more on the Encinitas 101 website.
